NDIS Transport Services.
Taking public transportation to and from appointments, work, or to see family and friends can be difficult at times. Our transportation assistance includes assisting participants in developing the ability to travel independently. This includes instruction on how to use public transportation.
Jewel Healthcare staff can increase a participant’s independence through public transportation training by assisting you in learning public transportation routes, bus/train timetables, and so on.
Our goal is to make your public transportation journey as easy and comfortable as possible, so you can enjoy your time out and about in the community. When a participant is unable to travel independently, an NDIS plan may include the use of taxis or other private transportation options.
Jewel Healthcare has a wheelchair-accessible van for participants who are unable to use public transportation. We can drive you to your appointment or other locations in the community and then back again.

Some examples of the types of support that may be included in your NDIS plan for travel and transport are:
- Transport to appointments and activities: This can include assistance with getting to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, work, school, or other activities.
